Agios Prokopios beach on Naxos island, located 6 km away from the island’s port and capital. Agios Prokopios beach ranks as the island’s most acclaimed beach for its crystalline waters, and golden sandy beach that extends 1.5 Km southwest. Agios Prokopios beach is surpassing all other beaches in terms of distinctions earned. It has been rated as Greece’s third best beach and among Europe’s top ten. Most ofthe beach is organized with sunbeds, umbrellas and water sport facilities whereas the remaining part is left to its natural unspoiled beauty by tourist facilities. During summer Agios Prokopios beach gets extremely crowded. Behind the beach there is a plethora of hotels, bars, tavernas, cafes and tourist shops.
Agios Prokopios beach is reachable by bus which leaves frequently from the capital, Naxos town, near the port.
